Construction Division
Since 2004, Amigur has been carrying out all the Jewish Agency's Construction Division's direct projects, and has also been upgrading absorption centers.
Following are some projects:
Hydrotherapy Institute Sha'ar Hanegev
Student dormitories, Kibbutz Miflassim
Amigour's Student Dormitories in Safed and Sderot
Amigour provides low- rent dormitories for students studying in The Safed Academic College in Safed and in the Sapir Academic College in Sderot. Students interested in residing in the dormitories in Sderot must committ to volunteering in "Perach" which is a national " Big Brother" program.
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews fund Shelter Renovations
Rabbi Yechiel Z. Eckstein, founder and president of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews commissioned Amigour to renovate and upgrade 2200 shelters in northern Israel and in Ashkeon because of Amigour's activities and experience in renovating shelters during the Second Lebanon War.
Upgrading Absorption Centers
The Jewish Agency decided on a multi-year program to upgrade 18 absorption centers.
Amigur performs the upgrade of the absorption centers throughout the country. Up till now Kiryat Yam and Ashkelon centers have been completed, and those of Beer Sheva, Carmiel and Ashdod are currently being upgraded.
Upgrading of the buildings includes the replacement of all electrical systems, plumbing, upgrading the exterior of the building (tiling, plaster, etc.), with an emphasis on the quality of life of the immigrants in the apartments themselves and in the public areas of the building.
